I found these lines several months back and just had to add them to my portfolio. I have to confess I know nothing about the character other than she comes from Asgard, I just love sturdy warrior-women done right. Also Norse culture.

Background inspired by the vast snowy wastelands of Guild Wars 2's Norn land. You haven't seen beauty until you've stood on a mountaintop with only your pet next to you, staring out at miles and miles of white in all directions.

Great job. I know what you mean about snowy mountains. There was this tramp chow dog who followed me to the next town, on the way we climbed a mountain. I had to push him up sometimes. At the top we just ran and ran over white snow. Was so cool. So different from summer version. I also like the Chinese artist who draw snowy cliffs, they only outline the features of the ledge leaving the paper to do the art, believing less is more. Or much can you do with less. This picture gives you a real feel for the weather happening. And Valkyrie was done perfectly. Not one improper detail. great work all around.

lol I'm so disillusioned to the world of art its sad. I'm two classes away from an AA in Art... but the teachers and the mentors just skeeved* me out. That And I don't like selling myself lol. Or I guess its marketing and having to do all the stuff I dislike just so I can draw and make munnies XD

Like for serious... Biology (not anatomy) isn't needed unless I'm drawing realistic gore... and I find that the use of statistics is not something I need in order to color with pencils XD And I just dislike math cuz it's hard orz

But I do agree. The need for daily challenge is indeed needed. I really like the 30Characters in 30 days challenge I did. But I don't actually think I Improved at all.


I am super proud of you though! You really are an amzing artist and it's really cool to watch your progress! I still have doodles from highschool you did in my sketchbooks and the Ayame form my 18th b-day XD I'll make a fortune offa our friendship! BUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH


* Wanted me to nude model.... but not through the school, which pays by the hour...wanted me to model for *him* :icongrossplz:
